Chef Gene Tauer’s Invitation to Copa de Oro!

I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally have a dream-come-true restaurant of my own ~  Copa de Oro!

With a driving passion for food, serving guests, and learning the secrets of the kitchen as Kitchen Manager for Angel Food Catering and Wild Oats Deli Store Opener, I now have the opportunity to practice a personal style of training staff, preparing food, and presenting a welcoming dining atmosphere ~ as my own Master Chef.

The Copa De Oro locatio opened up in Eldorado and I leapt at the opportunity to start my own business as soon as I walked in and fell in love with the intimacy of the room and the modest size of the bar. And to top it off, the kitchen set-up was perfect! I especially warmed to the outdoor dining area – the garden, the community feel of the courtyard held a simple elegance. This summer we’ve added live music on Thursday evenings. For me, dining on food prepared with love in a garden setting, with music from living-breathing musicians, is simply divine!

“Ongoing Fabulosity” expresses my enthusiasm for exploring new recipes: gathering suggestions and secrets from my customers and their families and giving these entrees the light of day in my own kitchen and dining table. I can’t wait to put a new meal on the menu! Now that I have a meticulously trained staff, attuned to detail and love of service, Copa de Oro will surely and steadily evolve into the ultimate restaurant of my dreams, and beyond!
